Poultry Problems Part 2

Once in the hall was another story.  Joe pulled Ken's shirt over

his head and shoved him into a wall, though careful not to use more

strength than necessary.

As soon as Ken recovered enough and charged Joe, the Condor

calmly dodged the lunge, gave him the 'bird' once again and ran

down the hall with the Eagle in hot pursuit. None of the ISO personnel

were distracted, this had happened so many times before.

Jun was approaching the ISO entrance when the Condor and Eagle came

flying out of it. Joe halted mid-stride, smirked, and stopped the

Eagle's forward progress in an almost hug. He then shoved Ken towards

the bewildered Jun, who was still trying to figure out why Joe had

called her there in the first place.

"Here Jun! A gift. He wants you real bad! He even confessed it himself!"

The Condor then swiftly departed, but not too far. He wanted a good

view of the two birds he put together.

Ken not wanting to be rude simply stared at her, dumbfounded and

speechless (the Eagle speechless???). Jun stared back, not quite sure

if she should believe Joe or not.

Feeling awkward and confused, Ken started at square one.

"Uh, Hi Jun! How're you today?"

"Fine thanks. And yourself?"

"Gonna kill Joe."

"Again, eh? If you two would put as much thought into battle as you

do with each other, this war with Gallactor might have ended by now.

You two could learn a thing or two from the rest of us! You don't see

us squabbling like a couple of school boys."

"He starts it." Ken sheepishly replied.

"And you provoke it more."

"Uuhhh...Hey Jun! Wanna go with me to a movie and lunch?"

"I'm NOT buying my own date am I?"

"Of course not! I have money!"

Jun was slightly stupified. "From what?"

"Joe."

"Huh?"

"Took it outta his back pocket when we were fighting in Nambu's office."

"Ken! That's stealing! I'm surprised you'd stoop to such a level!"

"He would've had to lend it to me anyway."

"That's no excuse! Then again, he owes me too. Let's go!"

>From his perch, the Condor grinned, satisfied. He'd intentionally

placed that money in his pocked so Ken WOULD find it.  Things

worked out well for once as he stepped down and headed home, hoping

that for his two best friends, this was the beginning of something more.

End.
